This is my first test using After Effects to create super slow motion and fake rain. Also using Twixtor and Trapcode Particular 2. Much more to come hopefully!

Ben Powen's Life: My Best Man Speech

This is a short documentary type film I made as part of my Best man speech for one of my best friends weddings. I have dubbed over the speech said live on the day on this version of the video to show how both the speech and the video went together on the day.

Bison in the UK

This is a short documentary made shortly after finishing my degree about Bison farming in the UK. The film was made along with Ben York, Sara Hill, Dylan Aldridge and Stuart Claridge. This was to be the starting point to a long documentary about the resurgence of the wild Bison in the plains of North America.

Causation Dive

This was my final year project for my Degree. Made with Matt Labett, it is a short film based around the idea's and possible results of accidental time travel. As it is a university piece it is maybe not 'Broadcast Quality' but it was fun to make and the only drama piece I have written and directed to date. This was also the first time I had done any underwater photography. As well as co-shooting and editing this piece I also did all the sound production and design which was a process I got a lot out of. This film was shown at the NFT in London in a short film festival.
